    Level of knowledge and practices of preventive measures of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit of the Emergency Hospital of Villa El Salvador 2022,

    Objective: "To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the preventive measures practices in ventilator-associated pneumonia performed by nursing professionals." Population: The population will consist of 40 nurses working in the intensive care unit at the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital. Sample: The sample will include 40 nurses, using a census-type sampling method, as the population is small and manageable. Methodological Design: The study will be applied. The method will be hypothetical-deductive, observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional. The design will be correlational. Instruments: To evaluate the variable "Level of knowledge of preventive measures," a questionnaire modified by Ávila et al. in 2017 will be used, which has a reliability coefficient of 0.92 (Kuder-Richardson). To evaluate the variable "Compliance with preventive measures practices," a checklist modified by Rodríguez in 2020 will be used, with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability of 0.872. Data Collection Techniques: The data will be collected using surveys and observations. Data Processing and Analysis: Descriptive statistics will be used to create frequency tables and figures, while inferential statistics will involve applying the Spearman's Rho test to verify the hypothesis posed in the research.
