The objective of this study is to evaluate the relationship between sociodemographic factors and the elimination of pharmaceutical products in consumers of the San Felipe market in the Surquillo district. The methodological design of the research is basic and is carried out through a hypothetical-deductive approach. It is a quantitative, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional study. The target population is the consumers of the San Felipe market in the Surquillo district. The sample will be made up of 130 consumers and simple random probabilistic sampling will be used. As a result of the survey, it was obtained that 46.2% are between 40 and 49 years old, 50.8% are women and 49.2% are men; 57.7% have secondary school as their educational level, while only 9.2% have primary school; 30% work in commerce and 22.3% in health, with 2.3% in public functions; 35.4% are single, 19.2% cohabiting and 13.1% married; 26.2% live with their parents and 20% with their spouses, while only 0.8% live with nephews or uncles; 40% work in the private sector, 36.2% in the public sector and 20% as independents; Finally, 94.6% eliminate medications in solid form, 3.8% in semi-solid form and 1.5% in liquid form. It was concluded that there is a relationship between sociodemographic factors and the elimination of pharmaceutical products in consumers of the San Felipe market in the Surquillo district.
