Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and attitudes about palliative care of the nursing professional who works in the intensive care unit of an Essalud Hospital, Callao, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-02-17) Maldonado Marcos, Erika Janeth; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MariaThe objective of the study is: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of palliative care and the attitudes of nurses. Methodology: The study has a quantitative descriptive approach because it involves the collection and analysis of variables. It is a correlational, cross-sectional design because no manipulation of the variables will be performed. The sample will consist of a total of 30 nursing professionals from the intensive care unit, who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research will use the "Questionnaire on the knowledge of palliative care by healthcare personnel" with 30 items, and a Likert-type scale with 14 questions to measure attitudes will be used as an instrument. The principles of bioethics for research involving human subjects will be respected, and the anonymity of the participants will be maintained. Subsequently, data will be collected and organized in Excel using tables that facilitate the grouping of information in detail to show frequencies and percentages.
