Publicación Acceso abierto Inteligencia emocional y desempeño laboral en el personal del servicio de traumatología del hospital Nacional Adolfo Guevara Velasco – Essalud. Cusco, Perú, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-09-15) Malpartida Perea, Kely Janet; Maguiña Palma, Misael EriksonOBJECTIVE: Evaluate emotional intelligence and work performance in Traumatology Service staff. MATERIAL AND METHOD: Observational, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study. The sample consisted of 50 professionals who work at the Traumatology Service of HNAGV, Cusco, Perú. The instruments used were “Emotional Intelligence Inventory BAR – ON – ICE” (Version adapted by Nelly Ugarriza) and format for “Evaluación de Desempeño y Conducta Laboral” (Ministerio de Salud - Perú). The relationship between variables was determined by Spearman's correlation coefficient. RESULTS: Majority of the sample presented a "high" level (66.0%) of emotional intelligence, followed by the "medium" level (34.0%). The majority had a job performance of "adequate" and "regular" level (48.0% in each case). A relationship was found between job performance and emotional intelligence, considered both globally and for each of its dimensions: stress adaptability, intrapersonal, management, interpersonal, general mood (P:0,000 in each case). CONCLUSIONS: The majority of the sample presented a "high" level of emotional intelligence, as well as a work performance of "adequate" or "regular" level. A relationship was found between job performance and emotional intelligence, considered both globally and dimensions.
