    Nivel de conocimiento sobre insulinas en pacientes diabéticos ambulatorios del Hospital Base III EsSalud. Puno 2022

    Objective: To evaluate the level of knowledge about insulin among outpatient diabetic patients at the Base III EsSalud Hospital. Methodology: The study followed a deductive method with a quantitative approach, applied type, and an observational, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 111 diabetic patients attending the Base III EsSalud Hospital in Puno. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire with 14 questions across four dimensions: reception, transportation, storage, and use of insulin, with data processed using Excel and SPSS 25. Results: Among the 111 patients, 64.0% had incorrect knowledge about insulin reception, 72.1% had correct knowledge about transportation, 61.3% had incorrect knowledge about storage, and 55.9% had incorrect knowledge about insulin use. Overall, 66.7% of patients demonstrated incorrect knowledge about insulin. Conclusion: Outpatient diabetic patients attending the hospital generally have incorrect knowledge regarding the reception, transportation, storage, and use of insulin.
