The study was quantitative, descriptive-correlational, and cross-sectional, involving 224 adolescent pregnant women. Two surveys, "Related Factors" and Zung and Conde's Depression Self-Scale, were used. Results revealed that the average age of the participants was 17 years, with 46.4% having incomplete secondary education, 73.7% being housewives, and 63.8% living with their partners. Regarding family factors, 49.6% of the adolescents came from nuclear families, with 48.7% reporting family conflicts during pregnancy. Additionally, 22.8% experienced psychological violence. In terms of marital factors, 58.9% of the partners were older than 21 years, and 58% had conflicts with their partners during the pregnancy. Regarding depression, 85.3% of the adolescents had depression, with 46% experiencing severe depression, 26.3% moderate, and 13% mild. Statistically significant relationships were found between depression and factors such as suicidal ideation, discussions with partners, and family conflicts (p-values = 0.001, 0.002, and 0.004, respectively).

A total of 30 scientific articles were considered for this study. According to the findings from the reviewed articles, low knowledge about contraceptive methods is related to adolescent pregnancies, as lacking knowledge about contraceptive methods increases the probability of experiencing a pregnancy by 75%. Furthermore, sexual education is an effective strategy to decrease the adolescent pregnancy rate. Low knowledge of contraceptive methods is related to adolescent pregnancies.

In our results, it was observed that the average age of the participants was 26.6 ± 7.6 years, 57.7% had an age in the range of 20 to 34 years, 56.3% had at least secondary education and 62% declared that they were cohabiting. Before and after the application of the educational program, 32.4% and 97.2% presented a good level of knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding on average in the 3 areas: practice, importance and technique, respectively. This difference was statistically significant (p<0.000). We conclude that the educational program turned out to have a positive effect on improving the level of knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding among the pregnant women included in this study, since we have managed to demonstrate that, by carrying out educational programs, we contribute to empowering knowledge of breastfeeding. exclusive since its inception.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-08-15) De La Cruz Sánchez, Greiss Yasmir; Sinchitullo Ortiz, Katherine Angie; Marín Guevara, Leticia Gloria

The objective of this research is to identify the scientific evidence regarding risk factors for postpartum depression in adolescents, primiparous women, and single mothers. The study design was a qualitative systematic review. In the study area, an exhaustive and thorough search was conducted on different academic platforms such as Scielo, ScienceDirect, Dialnet, Google Scholar, among others, where various bibliographic sources related to the topic "Risk factors for postpartum depression in adolescents, primiparous women, and single mothers" were collected. The results from a total of 30 scientific articles revealed that 15 articles indicated the participants were adolescent mothers. Additionally, 13 publications referred to single puerperal women, and 9 publications mentioned the participants were primiparous mothers. The conclusions reached in this study show that the most common risk factor for postpartum depression in adolescent mothers is the lack of partner support. For primiparous mothers, "extreme ages" and "incomplete schooling" were more common risk factors. The most common risk factor for postpartum depression in single mothers was "unplanned pregnancy."
