Ítem Acceso abierto Glycosylated hemoglobin and quality of life in patients with type II diabetes mellitus in the Lima-North area in the period September 2020 to February 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-02-25) Marchena Guzman, Elina Lucila; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoObjective: To determine the association between health-related quality of life with glycosylated hemoglobin values in patients with type II DM in the Lima North area in the period from September 2020 to February 2021 Methodology: the research is applied, with a quantitative, observational, correlational and cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 80 patients with type II DM. The EsDQOL instrument was used for the variable HRQoL and for glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C), the data capture form was used. The significance test and Spearman correlation between HRQoL and HBA1C values were performed to determine if there is a statistically significant association between variables. Results: 60% of patients with type II DM in the Lima-North area have an average HRQoL level. It was evaluated that in the satisfaction dimension 71.25% have a medium level, in the impact dimension 53.75% have a medium level, in the social/vocational concern dimension 57.5% have a low level and in the concern about diabetes dimension 50% show a low level. Conclusions: There is a statistically significant association between HRQoL and HbA1C values R=0.003 (<0.01).Ítem Acceso abierto Quality of nursing care and family satisfaction of patients attending the intensive care unit service of a public hospital in Lima, 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-21) Marchena Guzman, Elina Lucila; Cabrera Espezua, Jeannelly PaolaThe aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and the degree of family satisfaction of patients attending the Intensive Care Unit of a public hospital in Lima, Lima, 2024. The research approach will be quantitative, with a non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational. The sample will be made up of 92 family members, where the survey technique will be applied for both variables and will be used in each family member of the critically hospitalized patient. Two instruments will be used, for the first variable the CAREQ questionnaire validated by expert judgment with a value of 0.95 and a reliability of 0.995, likewise it was used by the authors Velasquez and Vidal in the city of Trujillo in the year 2019 and for the second variable the instrument called Family Satisfaction which was also validated by expert judgment with a value of 0.8 and a reliability of 0.878, likewise it was used by Flores and Pozo in the year 2021. The data collected will be coded and digitized using the Microsoft Excel program and then exported to the SPSS version 21 statistical software. For data analysis, non-inferential parametric statistics will be used and the Sperman test will be used to measure the significance and degree of correlation to determine the association of the research variables.
