    Knowledge and nursing care in patients with endotracheal tube in the Intensive Care Unit of a Hospital in East Lima - 2022

    Introduction: Nursing knowledge and care for patients with endotracheal intubation are critical in preventing complications that may jeopardize patient health, particularly in intensive care unit (ICU) patients whose health is often severely compromised. Objective: To determine the relationship between nursing knowledge and care for patients with endotracheal tubes in the ICU of a hospital in East Lima, 2022. Methods: This is a quantitative, non-experimental, applied, correlational study using a deductive-hypothetical approach to explore and describe the study phenomena. The sample consists of 25 nurses working in the ICU. Validated and reliable instruments, such as surveys and a data collection sheet with a validity score exceeding 80%, will be used. For the reliability assessment of nursing care for patients with endotracheal tubes, the instrument underwent a pilot test to determine reliability and validity through Cronbach's alpha, with a result exceeding 0.70, categorized as excellent reliability. The instrument is therefore suitable for this research.
