Material and methods: Systematic observational and retrospective quantitative review, subjected to critical selection, using the Grade evaluation system to identify the degree of evidence, found in the following databases: Decs, PubMed, Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Elsevier. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 50% (n= 5/10) are meta-analyses, 40% (n= 4/10) are cohort studies and 10% (n= 1/10) are case studies and controls. According to the results obtained from the systematic review carried out in the present study, they come from the countries of Brazil (20%), followed by the USA (20%), Taiwan (20%), Georgia (10%), Switzerland (10%). %), Canada (10%) and Greece (10%). Results: Likewise, of the evidence found, 100% (n=10/10) indicate that the prevention of infections in patients with AVF access is more effective than CVCP in patients with chronic kidney disease. Conclusion: Prevention of infections in patients with AVF access is more effective than CVCP in patients with chronic kidney disease.
