For this purpose, a deductive, quantitative, applied, non-experimental, descriptive correlational study was performed on a population composed of 92 students from the Beca 18 Program of the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia - Medical Technology School. The population was census type, in which was conducted a survey applying a questionnaire created and validated by expert judgment, using Conbrach's Alpha value for the level of reliability to measure the affective factor of the students. To know the academic performance, the 2020 accumulated averages of each student were compiled. The data was processed and analyzed, where 23 of the students, representing 25%, present an average level in terms of their academic performance; while 69 students, representing 75%, present a high level in their academic performance. The Spearman correlation coefficient test, with a p = 0.395, allowed to indicate that the affective factor is not significantly related to academic performance in students of Beca 18 of the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia, 2021.
