    Factores asociados a la automedicación con el consumo de medicamentos analgésicos en usuarios atendidos en Farmacia Care Satipo Junín, 2021

    The irrational use of medications and analgesics is associated with the occurrence of major adverse events, leading to hospitalizations and generating expenses for the patient and the healthcare system. Objective. To determine the relationship between the consumption of analgesic medications and factors associated with self-medication in users served at the Care Satipo Junín pharmacy in 2021. Methods. Deductive method, quantitative approach, basic study type, non-experimental, descriptive correlational, prospective, and cross-sectional design. The sampling was simple random probabilistic, comprising 196 users. The technique was a survey and a questionnaire instrument with closed questions. Results. Of the 196 users, 55.1% were men, 85.7% were between 18 and 64 years of age, and 56.6% felt improvement with self-medication. 61.2% had a monthly salary less than one thousand soles, 85.7% had a job, 76% were affiliated with SIS and/or Es Salud, 91.3% studied in a state school, 65.8% were influenced to self-medicate by pharmacy staff, 49.5% self-medicated once a month, 97.5% with NSAIDs, 8.8% minor opioids, 54% had a headache, 51.5% general malaise, 35.2% joint pain, 29.1% lower back pain, and 24% gastrointestinal pain. Conclusion. The consumption of analgesic medications is not related to the factors associated with self-medication in users treated at Farmacia Care Satipo Junín, 2021.
