Publicación Acceso abierto Impacto de la farmacovigilancia y la gestión de reacciones adversas al fluconazol en la cadena de boticas Farmacia Universal, Lima 2025(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-11-05) Martínez Ocaña, Lizbeth Pamela; Purisaca Quispe, Jonathan Gregory; Rivas Altez, WalterThe present study had the Objective: To determine the impact of pharmacovigilance on the management of adverse reactions to fluconazole in the Farmacia Universal pharmacy chain, Lima 2025. Methodology: The research was developed under a quantitative at a correlational level, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 250 collaborators in pharmacy functions, of whom 161 workers in direct customer care, available at the time of the study, were surveyed. For data collection, a Likert-type questionnaire was applied, validated by expert judgament and with high reliability according to Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient. Results: The results showed a positive and significant correlation between the pharmacovigilance system and the management of adverse reactions to fluconazole (r=0.707; p=0.000). Continuous staff training (r=0.633) and participation in reporting processes (r=0.653) were directly associated with better identification, recording, and monitoring of adverse drug reactions. Likewise, institutional barriers (r=0.664), mainly related to the avilability of resources and organizational culture, were identified as limiting efficiency of the system. Conclusions: It is concluded that pharmacovigilance constitutes a fundamental axis to ensure patient safety and the rational use of antifungical drugs in community pharmacies. The findings support the need to strengthen training programs, implement standardized reporting protocols, and promote a culture of active notification, which Will have an impacto on the optimization of internal processes and on the generation of scientific evidence useful for public health in Perú.
