    Level of knowledge of the steam sterilization process of the nursing staff of the sterilization center of the national hospital Dos de Mayo, 2020

    Objective: To determine the level of knowledge of the steam sterilization process among the nursing staff at the National Hospital Dos de Mayo, 2020. Material and Method: The research follows a quantitative approach, descriptive type, and cross-sectional design. The population consists of a total of 36 individuals (6 nurses and 30 nursing technicians) working in the Sterilization Center of the National Hospital Dos de Mayo. The technique used was a questionnaire, and the instrument employed was a Likert scale, which includes the presentation, instructions, general participant data, and then the questions covering all study dimensions. The content validity was performed and submitted to expert judgment, obtaining a validation average score of 87.3%, which was rated as good. Reliability was found by applying Cronbach's alpha coefficient, yielding a value of 0.71, indicating high reliability. Data processing was conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26.0. Additionally, Excel was used for data entry according to a structured matrix as a database related to the measurement instrument.
