Objective: To determine the type of breastfeeding and its relationship with the nutritional status of the child from 0 to 6 months of age, cared for at the Juan Pablo II Maternal and Child Center in Villa El Salvador, Lima 2023. Methods: applied type study, hypothetical deductive quantitative approach, correlational and cross-sectional design. The population and sample are infants under 0 to 6 months of age cared for at the Juan Pablo II Maternal and Child Center in the CRED area, and the technique to be applied is the survey, and the anthropometric to determine nutritional status. Finally, to measure the variable, type of breastfeeding of children under 6 months, it is based on a questionnaire that is made up of 3 dimensions that are: Exclusive breastfeeding, mixed breastfeeding and artificial breastfeeding, in this way it is possible to establish the assessment scale, In the year 20219 this instrument was created by the researchers: Ancajima Ayala, Cristina Rosa Moreano Zegarra, Nancy, students from the Norbert Wiener Private University.
