Material and Methods: The systematic review of 10 articles that had as their topic effectiveness of therapeutic massage to promote neurodevelopment and weight gain in premature newborns, according to the study design, 20% systematic reviews were found, 40% randomized controlled trial. , 20% quasi-experimental, 10% cohorts and 10% case control. found from the following databases: Pubmed, Scielo, Wiley, all of them were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: The evidence found shows that of 100% of the articles reviewed, it was found that the effectiveness of therapeutic massage to only promote weight gain was 50% (5/10); in neurodevelopment it was only 20% (2/10); and for weight gain -neurodevelopment found in the same study was 30% (3/10) in premature and/or low weight newborns. Conclusion: It was concluded that of the 10 scientific articles reviewed that indicate the effectiveness of therapeutic massage to only promote weight gain was 5 out of 10, only in neurodevelopment it was 2 out of 10; found in the same study for both variables (weight gain and neurodevelopment) was 3 out of 10, in premature and/or low weight newborns.
