    Effectiveness of the use of earplugs to reduce exposure to noise pollution in workers

    The study is a systematic review. In this project, 10 published scientific articles were included, no older than ten years. In addition, a search was conducted in the electronic literature of Epistemonikos, PubMed, Scielo, Dialnet to identify studies that reported on the effectiveness of the use of earplugs to reduce exposure to noise pollution in workers. Of the 10 articles included, 100% agree that the insertion buffers are effective, however, the level of noise attenuation provided in the manufacturer's technical sheets differs from that found in the test carried out for each of the protectors, in the In the case of the cup type, its effectiveness is 37% less than expected and for the insertion type, it is 59%. It is concluded that plug-type hearing protectors are effective in reducing noise exposure at different levels adjusted to different factors that can alter their performance index.
