Ítem Acceso abierto Eating habits and their relationship with performance academic in sixth grade students of the Pedro Pablo Atusparia educational institution, Huaraz 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-23) Medalla Montes, Yesica Melania; Morillo Acasio, Berlina del RosarioThis research has as Objective: "To determine the relationship between eating habits and academic performance in sixth grade students of an Educational Institution in the district of Huaraz." Methodology: hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental design, quantitative approach, descriptive, applied, correlational, cross-sectional; the population and sample consisted of 98 students, the instruments used for the research work are a valid and reliable questionnaire and registration form; the data obtained were processed in "SPSS v25". Results: Of 100% (98), 68.37% (67) had unhealthy eating habits and 31.63% (31) healthy habits; As a result, 62.24% (61) had an academic performance of expected achievement, 25.51% (25) in process, 6.12% (6) at the beginning and 6.12% (6) in outstanding achievement. Using Spearman's Rho, a positive and moderate confirmation Rho is prolonged: 0.568 between eating habits and academic performance. Likewise, a Rho of 0.596 between food behavior and performance; and a Rho of 0.512 between food consumption and performance. Conclusion: In 6th grade students there is a statistically significant relationship, of a positive type and moderate intensity, between eating habits and academic performance.
