    Knowledge in the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation and its relationship with the practice of nursing staff in the emergency service of a national hospital 2023

    The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the knowledge and practice of the nursing professional in the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation in the emergency hospital 2023, through the hypothetical deductive method, quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional approach nonexperimental, in a sample of 80 nurses to whom the questionnaire was applied as an instrument. The instrument for knowledge was designed in a study called knowledge and practices of nursing professionals on prevention measures for nosocomial pneumonia in patients with mechanical ventilation in critical units: Emergency and intensive Care Unit and Intermediate Therapy Unit of the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases. , Lima, 2017”. validated by professional judges having a 0.83% result and the reliability was applied Kuder Richardson (KR - 20) 0.92% result was obtained.
