Ítem Acceso abierto Nursing professional competencies in cardiopulmonar y resuscitation management in a private clinic in Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-02) Melo Trujillo, César Manuel; Palomino Taquire, RewardsIntroduction: Cardiovascular diseases are considered a public health problem worldwide, consequently, people with these diseases have a greater expectation of suffering a sudden cardiorespiratory arrest (CPA). Likewise, PCR events at the out-of-hospital level fluctuate between 20-140 cases per 100,000 people worldwide, with a survival incidence of 2-11%. While at the hospital level it is of great concern, since between 0.4 and 2.0% of hospitalized patients require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). In this way, the repercussion in the decision-making of the nursing professional is referred to the aptitude and attitude of being able to exercise a leadership position within the health team, for which it measures their professional competences and the management of the CPR is of vital importance to achieve patient survival, decrease morbidity and mortality rates, and increase post-cardiac arrest recovery. Objective: To determine the relationship between professional nursing skills in the management of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in a private clinic in Lima, 2023. Methods: The study will be descriptive and applied, with a cross-sectional correlational design. Population and sample: The sample will be taken intentionally from a census sample of 80 nursing professionals who work at the San Juan de Dios Clinic.
