Ítem Acceso abierto Physical Activity and Quality of Life in Spinal Cord Injuries with Paraplegia from the National Federation of Physical Disability, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-25) Menéndez Soto, Irma Noelia; Cautín Martinez, Noemi EstherSpinal cord injury is one of the most disabling conditions, and after spinal shock, most patients opt for a sedentary lifestyle due to fear of further complications, resulting in general multisystemic deterioration and an increase in associated problems. The National Federation of Physical Disabilities (FEDENADIF) oversees eight high-competition sports disciplines, which involve conditioning and training. The population will consist of 153 people. The research method will be hypothetical-deductive with a non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design. Two instruments will be applied: the PASIPD C Physical Activity Questionnaire for people with disabilities and the SF-36v2 modified quality of life questionnaire for spinal cord injury patients, whose results may show the effectiveness of physical exercise in improving health, which should be included in the treatment of spinal cord injury patients, as it demonstrates the level of performance within their functional activities.
