    Geriatric depression and quality of life of users of the elderly life stage in a hospital in Barranca, 2023

    Objective: To determine the relationship between geriatric depression and quality of life of users of the elderly life stage, Hospital de Barranca, 2023. Material and methods: The quantitative method of applied type was used in the developed project, with a design non-experimental and the level is cross-sectional correlational. The population will be made up of 258 older adults, which was obtained with simple random probabilistic sampling. To obtain data on geriatric depression, the questionnaire presents 4 questions about the presence or absence of depressive manifestations; while, for quality of life, a questionnaire with 26 items will be used, corresponding to the dimensions of physical health, mental health, environment and relationships. Regarding data analysis, Microsoft Excel software will be used to tabulate and decode the data, to later process them in SPSS 21. Likewise, the background and studies of the variables will be considered in the discussion and interpretation of the results.
