Ítem Acceso abierto Gender violence and emotional dependence in mothers from the district of San Juan de Miraflores, Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-27) Merino Espada, Patricia Hellen; Urbano Katayama, Víctor ManuelThis research aimed to determine whether there is a relationship between gender-based violence and emotional dependency in a group of mothers from the district of San Juan de Miraflores, Lima, 2022. The study was quantitative in nature, with a non-experimental design, cross-sectional approach, and non-probabilistic sampling. The sample consisted of 112 mothers aged between 25 and 65 years, whose children were attending secondary school at a public institution. The instruments used were: The Gender-Based Violence Type and Phase Evaluation Scale (EETFVG) created by Jara and Romero (2010) and the Emotional Dependency Inventory (IDE) created and adapted by Ayquipa (2015). The study results showed a statistically significant direct correlation between the mentioned variables (Rho = .309**; p < .001), meaning that victims of gender-based violence also exhibit patterns of emotional dependency behavior.
