    Quality of life in elderly people with diabetes who attend the clinic for the elderly at the Chincha polyclinic, Lima - 2019

    Objective: To determine the quality of life in elderly people with diabetes who attend the senior citizen clinic of the Chincha Polyclinic, Lima - 2019. Material and method: The study method is quantitative, in terms of design it is non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional. The study included a population of 115 elderly people who attend the senior citizen clinic of the Chincha Polyclinic, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria respectively. The data collection technique was the survey and the data collection instrument used was the Diabetes 39 questionnaire, which has 5 dimensions and 39 items. Results: Regarding the quality of life of elderly people with diabetes, 53 elderly people representing 46% have a regular quality of life, 31 elderly people representing 27% have a poor quality of life, 17 elderly people representing 15% have a good quality of life and 14 elderly people representing 12% have a very good quality of life. Regarding the dimensions energy and mobility (54%), diabetes control (53%) and anxiety and worry (57%) were the most affected with a poor quality of life. Conclusions: Regarding the quality of life in elderly people with diabetes have a regular quality of life.
