Materials and Methods: The study will use a deductive, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design to determine the relationship between the variables. The sample will consist of a total of 77 children aged 6-11 years with tinea capitis treated at a private laboratory in Lima between January and March 2024. Results: This research prioritized studying the frequency and relationship between dermatophytes and associated factors in children aged 6 to 11 years. The results showed that 39% of children had dermatophytes, with the presence of Trichophyton tonsurans (33.8%), Microsporum canis (3.9%), and Microsporum gypseum (1.3%). Conclusion: It was determined that there is no relationship between different demographic, socioeconomic, and environmental factors. The frequency of dermatophytes (p > 0.05) in children aged 6-11 years with tinea capitis treated at a private laboratory in Lima between January and March 2024.
