Material and Methods: The study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. The sample consisted of 20 patients attending the CRED clinic. The instrument used was a semi-structured questionnaire, guided by a central question, through which a categorization process was carried out. Results: The categories identified were: quality of nursing care, procedures for nursing care in the CRED, comprehensive child care in CRED, and expectations of nursing care. Most study participants rated the quality of care as average, with the main issues being the length of waiting times and staff shortages, which were identified as barriers to improving the quality of care. Conclusions: The perception of the quality of nursing care by mothers attending the CRED clinic at the Maternal and Child Center Rímac is a complex phenomenon influenced by various factors. Understanding and addressing these factors is essential to implement improvement plans in nursing services, ensuring high-quality care for children.
