Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of a water exercise program on the functionality of patients with chronic non-specific low back pain at the national rehabilitation institute “Dra. Adriana Rebaza Flores” friendship peru Japan – Peru in 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-24) Miranda Uyekado, Carmen Erika; Vera Arriola, Juan AméricoThis research project aims to determine the effectiveness of a water exercise program for patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain and compare it with a land stabilization exercise program for patients with the same characteristics. Low back pain is a health problem that affects functionality in daily life and/or work activities, potentially leading to varying degrees of disability. Therapeutic exercises are the best treatment strategy, but many people struggle to perform them due to intense pain, fear of movement, or difficulty performing specific movements. An alternative is water exercises, which, due to the physical properties of water, facilitate performing these exercises, reducing the risk of injury, modulating pain intensity, improving mobility and joint stability, enhancing muscle activity, proprioception, and stability.
