Publicación Acceso abierto AFRONTAMIENTO EMOCIONAL Y CALIDAD DE VIDA DEL PACIENTE OSTOMIZADO EN CONSULTA EN UNIDAD DE TERAPIA OSTOMAL DEL INEN, DURANTE LOS MESES DE JUNIO A AGOSTO, 2017.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-05-25) Suárez Jacay, Elizabeth Yahayra; Mocarro Aguilar, María RosarioMétodo; cuantitativo, correlacional, aplicada, de corte transversal, población (45 pacientes ostomizado), instrumentos utilizados Escala de estrategia de Coping – modificada (afrontamiento) y el Cuestionario Stoma QQL (calidad de vida). Resultados; afrontamiento emocional; 100% tiene un afrontamiento medio y en sus dimensiones; la mayoría tiene un afrontamiento medio (44% a 71%), excepto la dimensión reacción agresiva que presenta un afrontamiento bajo (47%), medio (42%) y alto (11%). Calidad de vida; 93.3% tiene mala calidad de vida, 6.7% moderada, en sus dimensiones casi la totalidad presento calidad de vida moderado que oscila de 38% a 67%, excepto la dimensión actividad sexual que el 51% tiene mala calidad de vida, el 38% moderada y el 11% buena, Para establecer la relación entre el afrontamiento emocional y la calidad de vida se aplicó la prueba R de Pearson dando como resultado r = 0,529, con probabilidad de error p-valor = 0,000186, por lo tanto la correlación es significativa en el nivel 0,01, obteniendo una correlación moderada directa, es decir, existe relación entre el Afrontamiento emocional y Calidad de vida del paciente ostomizado. Conclusión; existe relación entre el afrontamiento emocional y la calidad de vida del paciente ostomizado en consulta de terapia ostomal del INEN.Ítem Acceso abierto Cognitive impairment and socio-family support in the elderly attending the National Hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen – Geriatrics Day Hospital.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2013) Cerda Fernández, Janeth Roxana; Estrada Peralta, Giovanna Maribel; Mocarro Aguilar, María RosarioObjective: To determine the relationship between cognitive impairment and the level of socio-familial support in older adults attending the Day Hospital of Geriatrics. Methodology: A quantitative correlational research study. The population consisted of 368 older adults attended at the Day Hospital of Geriatrics from July to December 2012. The sample included 133 older adults who met the inclusion criteria. The instrument used for cognitive assessment was the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), which has a sensitivity of 80% and a specificity of 77.5%. For the socio-familial evaluation, the Gijón Geriatric Socio-Familial Assessment Scale was used, which has a sensitivity of 15.50% and a specificity of 99.80%. Results: Regarding cognitive assessment, based on demographic data, 53 individuals aged between 78 and 86 years with primary education had severe cognitive impairment, of which 67.9% were female. Regarding the socio-familial assessment, 65.4% had good social support. The association between cognitive impairment and socio-familial support was found to be statistically significant (p = 0.046). Conclusions: Cognitive impairment is related to the level of familial support, as greater socio-familial support is associated with less cognitive impairment in older adults attending the Day Hospital of Geriatrics at Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital between July and December 2012.Ítem Acceso abierto Emotional coping and quality of life of ostomized patients in consultation at the INEN ostomy therapy unit, during the months of June to August, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-05-25) Yovera Martínez, Genara Jhuliana; Mocarro Aguilar, María RosarioMethod; quantitative, correlational, applied, cross-sectional, population (45 ostomy patients), instruments used: Coping Strategy Scale – modified (coping) and the Stoma QQL Questionnaire (quality of life). Results; emotional coping; 100% have a medium coping and in its dimensions; the majority have a medium coping (44% to 71%), except the aggressive reaction dimension which presents a low (47%), medium (42%) and high (11%) coping. Quality of life; 93.3% have poor quality of life, 6.7% moderate, in its dimensions almost all presented moderate quality of life ranging from 38% to 67%, except the sexual activity dimension where 51% have poor quality of life, 38% moderate and 11% good, To establish the relationship between emotional coping and quality of life, Pearson's R test was applied, resulting in r = 0.529, with probability of error p-value = 0.000186, therefore the correlation is significant at the 0.01 level, obtaining a direct moderate correlation, that is, there is a relationship between Emotional coping and Quality of life of the ostomy patient. Conclusion; There is a relationship between emotional coping and quality of life of the ostomy patient in the INEN ostomy therapy consultation.Ítem Acceso abierto Risk of depression in older adults according to the Yesavage test at the Rodulfa Viuda de Canevaro Residential Center, December 2011.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2013) Gonzáles Navarro, Marilú Esther; Robles Vargas, Julia María; Mocarro Aguilar, María RosarioThis research study is quantitative, descriptive, retrospective, and cross-sectional. Its objective was to determine the risk of depression in older adults according to the Yesavage test at the Rodulfa Viuda de Canevaro Residential Center in December 2011. The population consisted of 353 adults aged 60 and older. Using Cochran's equation, a sample of 153 older adults was calculated. The technique applied was an interview, using the Yesavage test as the instrument. According to the results, 50.3% (77) showed a moderate risk of depression, and 28.1% (43) showed a severe risk of depression. Regarding age, it was found that 19.6% of those in the 60-70 and 71-80 age groups presented a moderate risk of depression. Additionally, regarding gender, the study showed that 28% (43) of females and 22.2% (34) of males presented a moderate risk of depression. It was concluded that, according to the Yesavage test, more than 50% of the respondents show a moderate risk of depression. No significant differences were found in the relationship between depression, age, and gender.
