Ítem Acceso abierto School bullying and self-esteem in high school students of an educational institution(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-28) Molina García, Celso Alejandro; Morillo Acasio, Berlina del RosarioThe objective of this study is to determine the relationship between school bullying and selfesteem in high school students from an educational institution in San Juan de Lurigancho. The methodology: it was quantitative and correlational design. The sample will be composed of 100 high school students from 1st to 5th year and of both sexes. Instruments adapted to the Peruvian context will be used, such as the school bullying questionnaire and the Rosenberg self-esteem scale. According to the results based on the national and international background, a statistically significant relationship between bullying and self-esteem is expected, this relationship should be inverse; that is, the more bullying behaviors, the lower the self-esteem perspective presented by high school students. Likewise, according to the social problem, a predominance of the high level of bullying and a predominance of the low level of self-esteem is expected. In conclusion, it is important to carry out this study, since it provides updated data on the problems that afflict students within a regular basic institution.
