The average age was 25.57 years, with 34.72% aged 26 to 30 years. 57.14% were cohabiting, 67.35% had completed secondary education, and 44.90% lived in the El Agustino district. 75.51% reported starting menstruation between the ages of 12 and 14, and 81.63% began sexual activity between the ages of 15 and 20. Additionally, 67.35% had more than one sexual partner, 81.64% had one to three children, and 61.22% had no history of abortion. At least one cesarean section was reported by 24.48%, while 67.35% were at high reproductive risk. Furthermore, 67.35% had a normal BMI. Before using the implant, 83.67% of the women had used a contraceptive method, with male condoms being the most preferred (32.65%). 42.86% were in their second year of use. 59.18% reported experiencing side effects, with menstrual irregularities being the most common (28.57%), and 59.18% of the users received treatment for their complaints.
