Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of interventions to reduce musculoskeletal disorders in workers(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-01-06) Huamán Raymundo, Essy Janeth; Montañez Alvarez, Nancy Amparo; Pérez Siguas, Rosa EvaObjective: To systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of interventions to reduce musculoskeletal disorders in workers. Material and Method: The study follows a systematic review design, with data collected from databases such as BVS, Scielo, PubMed, Google Scholar, Cochrane, Medline, and Dialnet. Articles were analyzed using the GRADE system, a tool that allows for the assessment of evidence validation and the strength of recommendations. Of the 10 selected articles, 30% are from the United States, 20% from Brazil, and 10% from Spain, Canada, Switzerland, and Peru, respectively. Regarding study type and design, 60% are systematic reviews, 30% are quasi-experimental studies, and 10% are randomized controlled trials. Results: 60% of the articles demonstrate the effectiveness of interventions to reduce musculoskeletal disorders in workers, while 20% of the articles show no effectiveness in the interventions. Conclusions: The reviewed studies show that 6 of the 10 articles indicate effectiveness in reducing musculoskeletal disorders through the intervention of postural exercises during work activities. 2 articles use body posture and workstation design, as well as the use of self-adjusting chairs as interventions. Meanwhile, 2 articles suggest that no ergonomic intervention is effective in reducing musculoskeletal disorders.
