    Critical review: effect of probiotic therapy (lactobacillus) in the treatment of helicobacter pylori

    The present investigation seeks to know if supplementation with Lactobacillus improves the treatment of Helicobacter pylori. The applied methodology is based on Evidence-Based Nutrition, for this a search was carried out in databases such as Scopus, Embase, Pubmed/MEDLINE and WOS. After the reading process, 17 articles were selected for evaluation with the CASPE critical reading tool. Finally, according to the level of evidence and degree of recommendation reached, the article “Efficacy of Lactobacillus-supplemented triple therapy for H. pylori eradication: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials” was chosen, which according to the evaluation reached a Strong AI level of evidence and recommendation. Through the development of the critical commentary, it is possible to conclude that the use of Lactobacillus improves the eradication rate of Helicobacter pylori and reduces the adverse effects of the treatment. pharmacological triple therapy in this infection.
