    The present study is "The TIC in reading abilities" as a means by which teachers in the course of Spanish language content students have been working and developing, generating diversity of educational tools that incorporate as an adjunct to to classroom learning activities, and be used as teaching resources improve reading skills, communicative competence and the process of reading, promoting the acquisition of knowledge. Through the incorporation of "Tic" as methodological strategies the influence these have on reading comprehension was assessed; The way the, on the incorporation of ICTs in learning strategies in the teaching process were made; the method of analysis was correlational Description allowing a clear view on how it affects the "TIC" in reading comprehension , population was determined by ninth-grade students in junior high school, of School Divina Pastora, located Eusebio Septimio Mari Riohacha - Guajira. The research results provided new insights to the teaching work, so that a plan of reading in the core areas of the curriculum is implemented, the use and incorporation of ICT in their teaching and learning, and thus a significant development of reading abilities in students is encouraged. Also the use of different ICT tools in the classroom allowed consolidate new knowledge, independent learning, collaborative work, and therefore improve their skills and abilities as the knowledge era demand and new technologies
