Ítem Acceso abierto Work stress levels in nurses at Huaycán Hospital, Lima - 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-07-24) Morales Chamorro, Galinda; Suarez Valderrama, Yurik AnatoliObjective: The objective of the study is to determine the level of work stress in nurses at the Huaycán Hospital, Lima - 2019. Materials and methods: The study method is quantitative and the design is non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional. In this study, we worked with the total population of 80 nurses from the Huaycán Hospital who met all the inclusion and exclusion criteria, respectively. The data collection technique was the survey and the instrument used was the 22-item Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire. Results: Regarding the level of stress in nurses, we found that 52% have a medium level; 42%, low level; and 6%, high level. Regarding marital status, it was evident that 68% of married nurses presented a high level of stress; 70% of single women presented a medium level of stress. Regarding the emotional fatigue dimension, it was evident that the nurses presented an average stress level of 69%; In the depersonalization dimension, an average stress level of 52% predominated; and in the personal fulfillment dimension they presented a low level of stress of 61%. Conclusions: The level of stress that predominated in the nurses at the Huaycán Hospital was the medium level, followed by the low level. Regarding the dimensions, the emotional fatigue dimension predominated followed by the depersonalization dimension.
