    Inteligencia emocional y estrés académico en estudiantes de pregrado de terapia física en una universidad privada, Lima 2023

    Objective: This research work aims to determine the relationship between two study variables, emotional intelligence and academic stress in undergraduate students of the physical therapy faculty of a private university. A population of 150 undergraduate physiotherapy students was chosen. Methodology: Hypothetical deductive method, quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental design, correlational and cross section. Technique: Survey. Instruments: TMMS-24 Questionnaire that evaluates perceived intrapersonal emotional intelligence and the SISCO-SV21 questionnaire, which shows certain characteristics that stress presents in university students. The results showed that 100% of the population and sample present academic stress at different levels, only 12% had a severe level; in relation to the level of emotional intelligence, the students showed a high level (77.33%). Of the three dimensions of emotional intelligence, the highest percentage level was shown by emotional repair (86%), followed by emotional clarity (82.67%) and finally emotional attention (77.33%), students show a high level of emotional intelligence (77.33%). It is concluded that there is a correlation between emotional intelligence and academic stress with a significance of 0.000.
