    Psychological factors and prevalence of bruxism in students of the Norbert Wiener Private University in Lima, 2022

    The general purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between psychological factors and the prevalence of bruxism in students at a private university located in Lima. A basic, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional non-experimental methodology was used, and a questionnaire was applied to 101 students from the Dentistry program. Based on the results, the descriptive analysis identified that 29.7% of the students with a low level of bruxism also had a low level of psychological factors, 38.6% with moderate bruxism had a moderate level of psychological factors, and 1.0% with severe bruxism had a moderate level of psychological factors. Inferential analysis determined a moderate positive correlation coefficient with Spearman's Rho (r = 0.558; p < 0.000). The study concluded that psychological factors are indeed related to the prevalence of bruxism in students at this university
