Results: A significant relationship was found between pharmacological adherence and quality of life (p=0.000; r=0.307). There was also a significant relationship between medication/food intake control and quality of life (p=0.000; r=0.154). Similarly, a significant relationship was observed between behavioral medical follow-up and quality of life (p=0.000; r=0.325). It was also demonstrated that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and quality of life (p=0.000; r=0.336). Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between pharmacological adherence and psychological health or mood (p=0.000; r=0.339), as well as physical health or somatic sensations (p=0.000; r=0.204). Conclusions: It was concluded that as pharmacological adherence increases, so does the quality of life in hypertensive patients included in the study.

The present research aimed to analyze compliance with the labeling of natural health products according to Supreme Decree No. 016-2011-SA, whose regulation was later amended by Supreme Decree No. 001-2012-SA, which establishes that natural health products are governed by Supreme Decree No. 010-97-SA. This study followed a quantitative approach, was applied in type, with a non-experimental and observational design, and had a descriptive cross-sectional level. The population consisted of natural products marketed in the Hierba Santa 1 and 2 supply markets in the city of Lima, with a sample of 200 natural products from different laboratories, selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Data collection was carried out through observation using a checklist as an instrument. The results showed that 99% did not comply with correct labeling according to Supreme Decree No. 010-97-SA, while only 1% did comply. Therefore, the findings highlight the weak control of the regulatory entity in these commercial settings, which poses a risk to public health by allowing unsafe products, as well as the delays in improving the regulation of these products by continuing to rely on outdated norms.
