Ítem Acceso abierto Organizational climate and work stress in nursing staff of the neurosurgery service of the national institute of children's health, Breña 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-02) Murguía García, Luz María; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeThe objective of this study is to determine how the organizational climate is related to work stress of the nursing staff in the neurosurgery service of the Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño de Breña 2023. The method of the study was hypotheticaldeductive, quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational. The population included the nursing staff working in the neurosurgery and general surgery service of the Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño de Breña; and the sample consisted of 80 nurses. Two instruments were used, a questionnaire on work climate from the Ministry of Health and the "Maslach Burnout Inventory" questionnaire. The results showed that 12.5% of the nursing personnel perceive a healthy organizational climate, 57.5% to improve and 30.0% unhealthy; work stress in 22.5% of the nursing personnel was high, in 35.5% medium and in 42.5% low. It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between work climate and work stress (Rho Spearman=-0.967; p<0.001), which means that a healthy work climate affects the level of work stress of the nursing staff; likewise, organizational design (Rho Spearman=-0.903; p<0.001), organizational culture (Rho Spearman=-0.232; p<0.001) and human potential (Rho Spearman=-0.960; p<0.001) correlates significantly with job stress.
