Publicación Acceso abierto Procrastinación y logro de competencias en estudiantes de ingeniería civil de una universidad pública de Ucayali, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-30) Napuche Celis, Franco Eduardo; Ramos Vera, Rosario PilarThe present study focused its purpose on identifying the association of procrastination with the scope of essential competencies in the training of Civil Engineering students of a Public University of Ucayali, meanwhile, its methodology is framed within a basic cross-sectional correlational scope that executed validated questionnaires. to a sample composed of 132 university students, showing as results that 63.60% predominated a moderate level of procrastination because students choose to postpone carrying out their academic activities due to their complexity and fear of doing it incorrectly. Likewise, it was shown that 41.70% of students did not achieve the different competencies required at the desired level because they do not know the purpose of each course and perceive the methods used in strengthening and evaluating skills as inappropriate, which was corroborated with a Spearman's Rho coefficient with value of -0.988 together with a p-value less than 5% that confirmed the formulated hypothesis. In conclusion, the postponement in the development of academic work and delays in its completion has a negative impact on the forging of crucial competencies in their future professional development and coping with adversities that may arise in the work and personal aspects.
