The Augustinian – 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-28) Navarro Richarte, Luis Williams; Mauricio Alza, Saby MarisolAccording to Endes 2019, in Peru, 3.9 cases of Diabetes Mellitus were recorded per 100 Peruvians over 15 years of age. The main risk factors that predispose this pathology can be measured by the Frindisc Test. Objective: Identify the Risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, applying the Findrisc Test in the workers of the Santoyo El Agustino Food Market, 2022. Materials and methods: The study is deductive, has a quantitative, non-experimental, transversal, descriptive approach. . To measure the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, the Findrisc Test was applied to 120 workers between 18 and 60 years old from the Santoyo Food Market Association. El Agustino-Lima, during the month of June 2022. Results: 99.17% present a risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, distributed in 16.67% low risk, 30.83% slightly elevated risk, 27.50% moderate risk, 20.83% risk high and 3.33% present high risk. 68.33% (n=82) are female, 54.17% are under 45 years of age. 34.17% (n= 41) is shared between overweight and obesity respectively. 75.83% (n=91) have abdominal perimeter >94cm and >80cm in men and women respectively. 44.17% (n=53) do not do physical activity. 49.17% consume vegetables every day. Only 12.5% have an antihypertensive prescription. 34.17% (n=41) have hyperglycemia and 65.84% (n=79) have a family history. Conclusion: The Findrisc Test is a practical, easily accessible tool to predict the risk of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and should be part of nutritional triage.
