Publicación Acceso abierto Reacciones adversas de los medios de contraste en pacientes atendidos en la Clínica Internacional, sede San Borja de enero a diciembre 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-06-22) Navarro Sánchez, Elita; Caldas Herrera, EmmaThe objective of this thesis was to determine the adverse reactions linked to the use of contrast media in patients treated in the imaging diagnostics unit of the "Clínica Internacional," San Borja branch, from January to December 2019. Methodology: The study methodology was a basic descriptive-retrospective type, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of medical indications from the attending physician obtained in the imaging area. Data collection forms for patients who presented adverse reactions were used as the instrument to measure the study variables. Results: The adverse reactions presented by the patients were dermatological reactions (79.6% or 41 cases) and respiratory reactions (4.5% or 3 cases). The gender with the highest incidence was female (63.6% or 28), and the most frequent age group was adults (29 to 49 years) at 70.5% (31). Conclusion: The most frequent adverse reactions related to the use of contrast media in patients treated in the imaging area were cutaneous eruption (rash) and pruritus (itching), with 36.4% and 15.9% of cases, respectively.
