It is important to highlight that they deserve special care due to the progressive changes in physiological reserves and age-related disorders. The prevalence of frailty in women is between 30% and 48%, and in men, it ranges from 21% to 35% in Latin America, decreasing by 10% every decade in sedentary individuals and 15% in those between the ages of 50 and 65. Older adults need to be informed about physical activity and improve their quality of life through the 6-minute walk and peak expiratory flow tests to prevent future risks.
