    Salud mental y calidad de vida en el trabajo del personal de la central de esterilización del Hospital Julio César Demarini Caro, Chanchamayo 2017

    Objective: To determine the relationship between mental health and quality of life in the work of the personnel of the sterilization center of the Julio César Demarini Caro Hospital, Chanchamayo 2017. Materials and method: the present study was of a quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional approach in terms of population and sample, it consisted of 15 personnel from the sterilization center; the technique used for data collection was the survey through the questionnaires CVT-GOHISALO to assess quality of life and Goldberg’s GHQ-12 to assess the mental health of the personnel of the central sterilization.Results: with regard to the mental health variable, it was evidenced that 73% (n=11) of the population have an absence of psychopathology, and in terms of quality of life at work, 53% (n=8) of the population have an average level and the 43% (n=7) presents a high level. The parametric Pearson correlation test was used, which shows that there is a statistically significant strong proportional inverse relationship between mental health and quality of life at work (r: -0.547, p: 0.035). Conclusions: There is a statistically significant strong correlation between mental health and quality of life at work. Regarding the mental health of staff, there was an absence of psychopathology in two thirds of the population, while in the remaining third there was evidence of suspicion of psychopathologies; the quality of life at work is at the average level in more than half of the population, the rest have a high standard of living.
