    Lifestyles of the Senior Adult who they attend Complementary Medicine of the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren National Hospital, October – 2019

    Objective: To know the lifestyles of the Elderly who attend Complementary Medicine at the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren National Hospital, October - 2019. Material and method: A quantitative, descriptive, prospective, cross-sectional study was proposed; in which 100 older adults who attended the Complementary Medicine service were included. The data collection instrument entitled "FANTASTIC" was applied, which is composed of 10 dimensions and was validated by applying a pilot test. Results: It was obtained that for the reliability test applied by dimension a minimum value of .705 was obtained in the alcohol and other drugs dimension, while the maximum value was obtained in the introspection dimension of .848. Regarding the level of lifestyle according to the "FANTASTIC" instrument, it was classified into 5 categories, among which it was found that 2.0% are in the danger zone, 23.0% were in the low danger zone; while 15.0% have an adequate lifestyle. 27.0% have a good lifestyle, while 33.0% have an optimal lifestyle or also classified as FANTASTIC. Conclusions: The lifestyle level of the elderly in the Complementary Medicine service in 33% obtained an optimal level of healthy lifestyle, 27% obtained a good level of lifestyle.
