Of the studies reviewed, 40% are analytical cross-sectional from Spain, 30% are descriptive cross-sectional from Spain, Cuba and Uruguay, 10% are systematic review from Spain, and finally 20% are correlational descriptive from Chile and Uruguay. Spain. In all the articles analyzed, the prevalence of burnout syndrome in nursing staff working in intensive care units is evident.
