Nutritional indicators provide results that help health professionals act promptly to aid in patient recovery. Objective: To describe variations in nutritional indicators during hospitalization in surgical patients at Hospital María Auxiliadora, Lima, June 2023. Methodology: The study design was analytical, non-experimental, prospective, and cross-sectional. Data were collected from patients hospitalized in the Surgery service at Hospital María Auxiliadora in June 2023. Results: The sample included 100 patients, with 52% being male and the majority in the 49.87+17.65 years age group. 42% were overweight. Regarding anthropometric indicators, the weight on admission was 67.43+11.00 kg, and at discharge, 66.84+10.98 kg. BMI decreased in 66 patients and increased in 34. Body composition indicators also showed variations. Conclusion: Variations in anthropometric indicators during hospitalization in the surgery service were found, though body composition indicators did not show significant changes.
