Publicación Acceso abierto Estudio de estabilidad de las formulaciones crema y gel elaborados con la fracción polar del extracto alcohólico de las hojas de Oenothera rosea L´Her. ex Aiton "chupasangre"(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-06-09) Bellodas Castillo, Ronald Martín; Cano Salvador, Fanny Chris; Nué Martinez, Jorge JonathanThis study conducted an accelerated stability study of two semi-solid pharmaceutical formulations—cream and gel—prepared with the polar fraction of the alcoholic extract from the leaves of Oenothera rosea L'Her. ex Aiton, "Chupasangre." The Peruvian regulations in force, according to Ministerial Resolution (R.M.) 805-2009-MINSA, were used for this study, evaluating the organoleptic characteristics (appearance, color, odor), viscosity, pH, the quantification of flavonoids as an indicator of extract concentration, and the microbial limit, based on climatic zone IVa. The results of the accelerated stability study for both pharmaceutical forms demonstrate that both products maintained the microbiological quality parameters. (Muña), against Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 10031, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 29737 and Candida albicans ATCC 10231”, had as its main objective to evaluate the antimicrobial effectiveness of the formulated mouthwash. The study was quasi-experimental, prospective, and cross-sectional. A registration form was used for the data obtained. The method employed for the evaluation of the antibacterial effectiveness was the Modified Microbial Challenge test. The results were: for Klebsiella pneumoniae, at a significance level of 0.05 and a p-value = 0.4412, the treatment with the formulated mouthwash has the same effect as the commercial mouthwash; for Staphylococcus aureus, at a significance level of 0.05 and a p-value = 0.6039, the treatment with the formulated mouthwash is not more effective than the commercial mouthwash, both present the same effectiveness; for Candida albicans, at a significance level of 0.05 and a p-value = 0.0000325, it is accepted that the treatment with the formulated mouthwash shows greater effectiveness than the commercial mouthwash.Publicación Acceso abierto Potencial actividad antiinflamatoria de la crema a partir de las lactonas sesquiterpénicas aisladas de las testas de Persea americana Mill "Palta Fuerte" sobre ratones albinos(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-11) Choquelahua Paquiyauri, Yanina; Illesca Ramón, Jenny; Nué Martinez, Jorge JonathanThis research evaluated the anti-inflammatory activity of sesquiterpene lactones isolated from the polar fraction of the chloroform extract of Persea americana Mill “Palta fuerte” seeds. For the study, creams were prepared based on the polar fraction of the chloroform extract containing sesquiterpene lactones at different concentrations (1%, 5%, 10%, 20%), reducing inflammation caused by xylene and improving vascular permeability. The results obtained from the xylene-induced inflammation model indicated that creams at 1%, 5%, 10%, and 20% based on the polar fraction of the chloroform extract prevented inflammation of the auricular pavilion (right ear) by 44.94%, 60.20%, 61.04%, and 67.56%, respectively. The anti-inflammatory drugs (Diclofenac 1% gel and Hydrocortisone 1% ointment) induced inflammation inhibition of 64.34% and 81.75%, respectively. These results demonstrate the anti-inflammatory activity of Persea americana Mill “Palta fuerte” seeds.
