Ítem Acceso abierto Quality of life of patients with tuberculosis in the infant health centers and the San Martin de Porres base, 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-05-11) Obregón Vila, Robert Anthony; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: The present study sought to determine the "Quality of life of tuberculosis patients at the Infantas Health Centers and Base San Martin De Porres, 2019". Materials and methods: The study is of a quantitative type, with information that is susceptible to being measured and statistically analyzed. The method used is descriptive, with a cross-sectional section. The population is made up of 80 adult patients who suffer from TB and who receive their medication and who belong to the CS "Infantas" and "Base San Martin". The instrument used in the present research was the Health questionnaire SF-36 that qualifies the variable of "Quality of Life", which consists of 36 items that are divided into eight different dimensions that evaluate the health status. In this study, the survey technique will be used and as an instrument the Health questionnaire SF-36 that qualifies the variable of "Quality of Life". Results: The distribution of Quality of Life was as follows: 26% Low quality of life, 50% Medium quality of life and 24% High quality of life. Regarding the dimensions, Physical Function (56%), Body Pain (84%), Vitality (55%), Social Function (48%), Emotional Role (71%) and Mental Health (78%), the Medium Quality of Life predominated. The General Health dimension obtained (59%) High Quality of Life, and the dimension with the lowest quality of life was the Physical Role (57%). Conclusions: The most representative quality of life was the Medium, since in five dimensions a Medium Quality of Life was presented. The dimension with the highest Quality of Life was General Health and the dimension with the lowest Quality of Life was Physical Role.
