    Parental stress and coping in parents of children hospitalized in a hospital in Lima, 2023

    At a global level, the World Health Organization has identified the problem of stress as a state of worry or mental tension caused by difficult situations and it is a natural human response that encourages us to face challenges and threats in our lives. Objective: Determine the relationship that exists between parental stress and coping in parents of children hospitalized in a Hospital in Lima, 2023. Methodology: The project will be of a descriptive correlational scope, quantitative approach, non-experimental design with a cross-section. The sample will be 92 parents of both sexes who attend the pediatric services of a public Hospital in Lima. For the research, two validated instruments will be used, recognized for their high reliability, the first, “Abidín Parental Stress Index Questionnaire” (short version) and the second, “Stress Coping Ways Questionnaire” (COPE). Each participant will spend approximately 20 minutes filling out questionnaires, ensuring efficient and detailed data collection. For the analysis and interpretation of the data collected, descriptive statistics will be used for univariate analysis and the relationship of the variables will be measured through Pearson Correlation analysis.
