Material and Methods: The type of study is quantitative, the design of a systematic review was obtained from the following databases Pubmed, Scielo, Medline, Dialnet, ProQuest, Google Scholar, Tripdatabase, Cochrane. Of the 10 articles reviewed, 60% (n= 6/10) are clinical trials, 30% (n= 3/10) are observational studies and 10% (n= 1/10) are systematic reviews, according to the Quality of evidence was found to be high at 70%. According to the strength of recommendation it is strong at 70%, depending on the country where the investigations were carried out, 30% (3/10) corresponds to France, 30% (3/10) to Germany, 10% (1/10 ) corresponds to Israel, 10% (1/10) corresponds to China, 10% (1/10) corresponds to Denmark, and 10% (1/10) corresponds to the United States. Results: According to the review, it is evident that 100% of the articles (n = 10/10) indicate that the effectiveness of parenteral nutrition is effective in improving the quality of life of patients with gastrointestinal cancer. Conclusions: It is found that 10 of the 10 evidence studied conclude that parenteral nutrition is effective in improving the quality of life of patients with gastrointestinal cancer.
