Publicación Acceso abierto Tiempo de espera y satisfacción de los usuarios del servicio de radioterapia del Instituto Regional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas Centro, Concepcion-2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-28) Olazo Arce, Catherine Estefanny; Hermoza Moquillaza, Rocío VictoriaThe research determined the relationship between waiting time and user satisfaction with the radiotherapy service at the "Regional Institute of Neoplastic Diseases Centro," Concepción – 2023. In the research process, an applied analysis was conducted, with a correlational approach and without conducting experiments, by collecting data from a sample of 90 patients who responded to two questionnaires to reach findings. Among the results, it was found that all users who expressed high satisfaction with the service, representing 100% of this category, also considered the waiting time to be adequate. This highlights a strong direct correlation between the overall satisfaction of the individuals served and the perception of an appropriate waiting interval. On the other hand, the majority of individuals served who indicated decreased satisfaction with the service, specifically 80.0%, perceived the waiting time as inadequate. This high percentage suggests a statistically significant connection between user dissatisfaction and experiencing an estimated inappropriate waiting interval. For users with moderate satisfaction, the distribution was more balanced between waiting times perceived as regular and inadequate, with 52.2% and 8.7% for each, and 20.0% considered the waiting time as inadequate. This could indicate that the perception of a regular waiting time may be related to an intermediate level of overall satisfaction. In the correlational analysis, the Spearman's Rho coefficient yielded a value of -0.844, and with a p-value of 0.00, it was concluded that there is an indirect and significant relationship between waiting time and user satisfaction with the radiotherapy service at the "Regional Institute of Neoplastic Diseases Centro".
